Passing technique games

- Pass and rollout – 3 players per strip
- 2 positioning cones
- Defender passes to attacker
- Attacker runs at defender
- When attacker gets to defender they roll out
- Attacker has to “keep” the ball for 3 secs
- Attacker then passes back to “guard”
- Focus
- Accuracy of pass initially
- Neutral stick and ball out in front
- Quality and pace of rollout
- Ability to defend the ball for 3 secs
- Progression
- Increase pace
- Competition how many times do you lose the ball

- Slap and run – 5,7,9 players per game
- 5 positioning cones
- Players slap the ball to the player on the next cone
- Passing player then runs onto the net cone
- Final player then runs WITH ball back to cone 1 and sequence starts again
- Focus
- Pace/Accuracy of pass
- Progression
- Start with pushes
- Then slaps then hits
- Increase pace
- Competition – count how many sequences

- Diamond – 6 players (anymore and game is too slow)
- 4 positioning cones
- Attacker carries ball from one cone to the next and PUSH passes on the run to the next in queue
- Recipient player receives on the run and then immediately pushes to the nex queue
- Focus
- Pace/Accuracy of pass
- Collect on the run
- Pass on the run
- Progression
- Start with pushes
- Then slaps
- Increase pace
- Competition – count the no of rounds

- Squares – 5 players per game (to keep sequence)
- 4 positioning cones
- Players PUSH pass the ball to the cones
- Next player runs in to collect
- As soon as possible PUSH passe the ball to the next cone
- Focus
- Push passing on the run
- Receiving on the run
- Pace/Accuracy of pass
- Progression
- Pace of push
- Speed of sequence
- Competition how many sequences
