Technical relay

What skills are needed if….

1. Run hard and fast with the ball in front – make sure the left hand grip is good and ball is out in front to start
2. Right hand side of the pitch – ball outside right foot – add in drag/manipulation skills here
3. Left hand side of the pitch-ball between feet. Work on ‘speed dribbles’ and cutting inside
4. Quality pass to the person waiting – forehand to forehand
5. Work in groups of 3 so everyone gets maximum touches
6. Final bit will be races between groups

1. Quality left hand grip
2. Ball in the right place depending on where we are on the pitch
3. Speed of technical execution is really important
