Outside Help

A game that can be played on a full pitch or half pitched focused on encouraging the use of width during gameplay with outside channels on both left and right.

Channels can be used for players to stay in for a set time and we outside help

You can also have players passing in replace the players who receive and exit the channel

Encourage players to use the channels to their maximum
Keep an eye out for players who don’t tend to use the channel and question them as to why?
Discuss how a pitch is normally split into 5 channels. How we look to attack across 4 or 5 channels and defend across 3 to be more congested to protect the middle.

Regression

Channels are uncontested spaces
People stay in the outside channels to reduce players in main pitch

Progression

Players replace each other in the channel when passing in and dribbling out
Conditions that 2 players needed in the wide channels at any one time to players identify when width is needed and where.
